The Campaign to Educate Party Members About the Mass Line

The CPC made a strategic decision at its 18th National Congress to launch a campaign to educate Party members about the mass line. On May 9, 2013, the CPC Central Committee issued a directive on launching the campaign nationwide, which started in June 2013 and was basically concluded by October 2014. It was mainly about serving the people, being pragmatic and being incorruptible, and took place top-down throughout the entire Party in two phases.

This campaign gave Party members and officials a deeper understanding of the Marxist perspective on working with the people; it made effective inroads against the “Four Malfeasances;” and it revived and encouraged the great traditions of criticism and self-criticism. It refined institutional systems by focusing on changing work practices, led to breakthroughs in critical issues directly affecting the interests of the people, and further strengthened the foundation of the Party’s governance.

黨的群眾路線教育實(shí)踐活動(dòng)

開(kāi)展黨的群眾路線教育實(shí)踐活動(dòng)是中共十八大作出的一項(xiàng)戰(zhàn)略決策。2013年5月9日中共中央發(fā)出《關(guān)于在全黨深入開(kāi)展黨的群眾路線教育實(shí)踐活動(dòng)的意見(jiàn)》。教育實(shí)踐活動(dòng)以為民、務(wù)實(shí)、清廉為主要內(nèi)容，在全黨范圍內(nèi)自上而下分兩批開(kāi)展，從2013年6月開(kāi)始，2014年10月基本結(jié)束。通過(guò)開(kāi)展這次活動(dòng)，廣大黨員、干部受到馬克思主義群眾觀點(diǎn)的深刻教育，形式主義、官僚主義、享樂(lè)主義和奢靡之風(fēng)得到有力整治，批評(píng)和自我批評(píng)的優(yōu)良傳統(tǒng)得以恢復(fù)和發(fā)揚(yáng)，以轉(zhuǎn)作風(fēng)改作風(fēng)為重點(diǎn)的制度體系更加完善，影響群眾切身利益的癥結(jié)難點(diǎn)取得突破，黨的執(zhí)政基礎(chǔ)更加穩(wěn)固。
