A tomb of the Han Dynasty (BC206-220AD) has been found in a construction site in Shangzhou, northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
Judging from the shape and structure of the tomb and the articles excavated, the tomb dates to the early period of the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220).
The tomb located east-west is four meters long, 1.6 meters wide and 1.5 meters high. The head of the occupant of the tomb is toward the west and the coffin has rotten.
The tomb with asymmetrical side chambers on both sides has a very short paved corridor.
Most of the grave objects are porcelain placed on the north side of the tomb and the north side chamber. Others objects such as bronze mirrors and coins are placed inside the coffin.
The burial articles unearthed include porcelain, some of which are glazed pottery, iron stills, bronze mirrors and hundreds of bronze coins.
