Chinese Embassy to Japan Reveals Intrusion Investigation Result

Huang Xingyuan, press counselor of the Chinese Embassy to Japan lately told that the intrusion accident took place in the Japanese Consulate in Shenyang is not complicated. China urges the Japanese side to act calmly since it is on the Japanese side that has tensed up the situation.

Huang detailed the intrusion investigation result to the Japanese media on May 13.

Whole course of the accident

Zhang Zhaowen and Sun Yongtao, the guard and officer from No. 8 Shenyang squadron of the Chinese armed police Liaoning headquarter, were on duty guarding safety of the Japanese consulate. On May 8, 13:55, they found five persons of unknown identity (two males, two females and one female child) on the footway walking towards the consulate outside the south walls of the US and Japanese consulates. When they were approaching the security line one meter away from the gate of the consulate, the two guards stopped them, asking them to produce necessary documents. All of a sudden, one male turned and forced his way into the east side door (It's the time for issuing visa so two-meter thoroughfare was left for passing). Meanwhile the two females went up and scratched the guards. When the other male tried to get in, Sun Yongtao held him by his back. The male escaped by hitting the guard hard on the face with his elbow and also forced his way in from the side door on the east.

The guards immediately call the police. Receiving the call, the group leader Yin Guohui, the deputy group leader Jin Raodong, the No. 8 squadron instructor Wu Mingyu and deputy squadron leader Wang Ye rushed to the visa-issuing department, where the deputy counselor of the Japanese consulate also led three Chinese employees to appear. The group leader Yin Guohui asked the deputy counselor, "Can we go in and bring the two males out?" The deputy counselor nodded, and spoke one Japanese word, which was interpreted by interpreter Weng Tiejun (male, Chinese employee) as "You can go in and get them out." Then Yin led four guards into the consulate and brought the two males out.

After the two intruders were seized, Hideharu Umaki, the Japanese deputy consul general in charge of security went to the Shenyang squadron, trying to talk to the five troublemakers. But he had to give up talking since the five intruders don't understand Japanese. Later local police arrived and tried to take the intruders away. The deputy consul said, "Wait a minute" and then made a call by his hand phone. After the call, he agreed the police took away the five intruders and bowed to the guard, saying" thanks, thanks" in Chinese showing his satisfaction with the handling of the accident.
