Chinese police arrested more than 10,000 homicide-linked fugitives last year, the Ministry of Public Security said on its website on Friday.
Included were six Class-A warrant suspects and 70 Class-B warrant suspects.
Last year saw an 8.89 percent drop in homicides. These included intentional homicide cases, cases involving intentional injury, arson, robbery, rape, explosion, kidnapping and using hazardous materials that led to death.
Murder cases dropped 8.32 percent year-on-year, the ministry said.
Police cracked 93.75 percent of the registered homicide cases in 2007, up 2.35 percentage points over the previous year, ministry figures revealed.
More than half of all cities and counties solved all their homicide cases, and another 19 percent of cities and counties had no cases relating to murder or manslaughter.
