The Civil Aviation Administration of China or CAAC says the country is to relax some of the restrictions on the domestic civil aviation market.
CAAC Director Yang Yuanyuan says his administration plans to lift the ban allowing individuals and travel agencies to buy planes for business use.
Meanwhile, approval procedures for individuals to set up aviation companies will also be simplified.
Yang Yuanyuan also indicates that his administration will encourage the development of airlines flying to the country's western areas. This also means China's remote and small cities can expect to build their own airports.
Currently domestic flights to the western areas are relatively few in number, and few small cities have their own airfields.
