What is disinfection? Why is disinfection needed?

        Disinfection is the process of destroying or cleansing pathogenic or harmful microorganisms on all kinds of agents in the environment using physical, chemical or biological techniques. The aim is to render these microorganisms harmless.

        Three things are necessary for the spread of an infectious disease to occur: source, transmission and susceptible person. Disinfection effectively cut off the transmission routes.

        When and what to disinfect?

        We need to disinfect when there is existing or possible contamination from pathogenic or harmful microorganisms that could lead to transmission of an infectious disease.

        消毒是指用物理、化學(xué)或生物的方法，殺滅或清除外環(huán)境中各種傳播媒介物上存在的病原微生物及有害微生物，達(dá)到無害化處理。

        傳染病的傳播由傳染源、傳播途徑、易感人群等要素構(gòu)成，消毒的目的就是為了切斷傳播途徑。

        存在或可能存在病原微生物及有害微生物污染時，有可能造成傳染病傳播時，需要消毒。
