1. Regular maintenance of the plumbing system

According to Zhong Nanshan, a prominent Chinese expert in respiratory diseases, the novel coronavirus does not necessarily spread via digestive system. The case could be that people contract the virus when breathing in the air or aerosols released by the dry waste in the plumbing system. You should make sure there are no blockages or leakages in the pipe by regularly pouring water into the outlet of the plumbing system. If the water flows back up the drain or leaks happen, fix the system promptly.

2. Proper disinfection

Items polluted by stool or respiratory secretions like phlegm: wipe or soak the items with disinfectant after cleaning off the pollutant.

The walls, the floor, taps, doorknobs and toilets in the restroom: every day, wipe the surfaces with disinfecting solution equivalent to 500 mg/L available chlorine, then clean the surfaces with water or wipe them up after 30 minutes.

The living space and items: disinfect them with chlorine disinfectant or 75% ethanol once or twice a week or more times in high-risk areas.

Tableware and feeding bottles: Put them in boiling water for 15 to 30 minutes or disinfect them with a high temperature before every use.

3. Toilet hygiene

Flush the used toilet paper down the toilet. Don't throw it in a trash bin, especially not a lidless one. Close the toilet lid when you flush and keep the toilet room well-ventilated.

2. 消毒要科學：

被痰液等呼吸道分泌物、糞便等污染的物品：清潔污染物后，進行擦拭或浸泡消毒。

廁所墻壁、地面、水龍頭、門把手、馬桶等物品：每天可使用有效氯500mg/L消毒劑溶液擦拭，作用30分鐘后，用清水沖洗或擦拭干凈。

環境與物品表面：每周使用含氯消毒劑或75%酒精消毒液消毒1-2次，疫情高發地區增加消毒頻次。

餐飲具和奶瓶：每次使用前，煮沸15-30分鐘或高溫消毒。

3. 如廁講衛生：

廁紙放馬桶里沖走，不將廁紙放入垃圾桶，尤其是沒有蓋子的垃圾籮。

蓋上馬桶蓋再沖水，廁所加強通風換氣。
