Two residential communities in northeast Chinese city of Harbin
recently organized an activity of making Jiaozi, or dumplings, for
low-income families ahead of the Spring Festival.
Harbin Daily reports that leaders and some residents of
the Shengzhong and Sanke communities purchased meat, vegetables,
flour and seasoning with their own money and made over 600
kilograms of dumplings.
The dumplings with 12 different kinds of fillings will be sent
to the low-income families before the Spring Festival. Each family
is expected to get around 5 kilograms and each of the families who
are unable to work and have special financial difficulties will be
given 10 kilograms.
In addition, dealers of meat, vegetable, flour and seasoning
were also involved in this heart-warming activity by selling the
best-quality goods at the cheapest price.
The Shengzhong residential community has held this considerate
activity for six years successively.
