A man has died after jumping from a 9th storey window of Hainan
Provincial People's Hospital Tuesday morning in south China's
Haikou city.
Local media reports the 20-year old man dropped 6
stories to eventually land on a platform on the 3rd floor. A nurse
had been sent to persuade the man to return to safety, but failed
in her efforts.
The father and older sister of the man rushed to
the hospital soon after he was carried to its emergency room.
The man reportedly went to see the doctor on
Monday. Local police are investigating the reason behind his
suicide.
The man, in his attempt to commit suicide, dropped onto a platform
on the 3rd floor, Tuesday morning, January 9, 2007.
