The taxi strike in this southern Chinese city entered its fifth day on Friday, as hundreds of drivers continued to demand relief from rental fees and competition from unlicensed cabs.
More than 200 drivers rallied in front of the city government building on Friday morning, and few cabs were operating.
A small number of drivers who were unable to bear the daily loss of about 300 yuan (44 US dollars) in rental fees returned to work on Thursday, but catching a cab remained difficult.
