A commercial street lined by French-style buildings is under construction in Bailu Town, Pengzhou City after the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake. Pengzhou is a county-level city in Sichuan, southwest China. Like other regions around the area, it was badly affected by the 8.0-magnititude earthquake in 2008. Under the aid-partnership plan, Fujian Province in east China paired up with Pengzhou to help it speed up the restoration and reconstruction. [Photo by Chen Xiangzhao]
