Three people were killed and four others injured in a road accident Friday morning in east China's Zhengjiang Province, local authorities said.

The accident happened around 9:20 a.m. when a container van smashed into a bus shelter located in Zhili Area of Huzhou City, on the No. 318 -- Shanghai to Huzhou -- State Road .

The injured were all sent to hospital.

The accident is being investigated.
