Four people were killed and four others injured after two buses collided Wednesday in northwest China's Gansu Province, local authorities said.

The accident occurred around 4 p.m. on a provincial road in Wudu District in Longnan City in Guansu.

The accident involved a coach carrying 18 passengers and a minibus with eight passengers, police said.

Three passengers and the driver from the minibus died at the scene. The four injured were also from the minibus.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
