Beijing's Chaoyang district launched an AI agent innovation accelerator on Monday, with eight AI agent-related companies in education and human resources signing letters of intent.

As part of Zhongguancun Chaoyang Park's AI development, the accelerator has attracted over 30 AI industry startups.

Companies in the program will receive support in technology, application scenarios, financing, and administrative services, according to Li Zuyi, general manager of Beijing Chaoyang International Technology Innovation Service. The accelerator will also establish a mechanism to ensure that startups benefit from the latest city and district policies. 

In addition, the accelerator will adopt a market-oriented operation mechanism to attract award-winning projects from renowned science and technology competitions, ventures backed by top investment institutions, and innovation projects led by scientists aged 30 to 45, accelerating the growth of high-potential companies in specialized sectors.

AI-powered teaching assistants are already helping teachers with class preparation, and AI agents have been deployed in over 150 schools across China to enhance teaching.

AI agents are autonomous intelligent systems performing specific tasks without human intervention.

Beyond education, AI is also transforming the publishing industry, said Tang Yang, CEO of Wenke AI. Joining the accelerator provides access to top talent across multiple fields, which is essential for advancing AI agent technology, he said.

Chaoyang district is home to over 500 AI companies, accounting for 25% of Beijing's total. The district holds distinct advantages in AI development, including abundant innovation resources, a comprehensive industrial system, and diverse application scenarios. It also draws on a large pool of highly skilled talent, said Lou Yixiang, director general of the management committee of Zhongguancun Chaoyang Park.
