The structure of energy consumption in China has been continuously optimized, with green, low-carbon energy development reaching new heights, said Zhang Jianhua, administrator of the National Energy Administration, at a press briefing Thursday. From 2013 to 2023, the share of coal in total energy consumption decreased from 67.4% to 55.3%.
