China's stocks ended lower at midday Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 1.35 percent, or 33.19 points, to close the morning session at 2,429.86.
The Shenzhen Component Index lost 1.72 percent, or 177.23 points, to close at 10,125.93.
