The gold price in Hong Kong fell 155 HK dollars to open at 12,508 HK dollars per tael Friday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.

The price is equivalent to 1,348.68 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, down 17.24 U.S. dollars at the latest exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.785 HK dollars.
