The online exchange platform ASEANChina.net debuts at the 5th ASEAN-China Non-governmental Friendship Organizations Conference in Singapore on July 29, 2010.

The website, launched by Association of South-East Asian Nations – China, supports multiple languages with an emphasis on English version. It is expected to deliver product information of small and medium-sized enterprises in ASEAN countries to Chinese market and promote trade contacts between ASEAN and China. The domain name of English website is http://ASEANChina.net.

Ms. Gu Xiulian, former vice-chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and president of ASEAN China, and Professor Phua Kok Khoo, president of Singapore-China Friendship Association, inscribed the name for ASEANChina.net with the hope that the website will play an important role in promoting economic and trade exchanges and development within Sino-Asian free trade area.

Having regard to product features of ASEAN countries, ASEANChina.net specifically designs featured-pages for ASEAN enterprises to launch product promotion, which in turn will facilitate Chinese enterprises to select and purchase appropriate products.
