Joy Air started trial operations yesterday after gaining approval from China's aviation regulator.
The airline, jointly set up by China Eastern Airlines and China Aviation Industry Corp, is preparing for its maiden flight and will launch routes from Xi'an to Yan'an, both in Shaanxi Province, and from Xi'an to Zhengzhou, capital of Henan Province, initially.
