Guangzhou Toyota Motor Co yesterday opened its second plant, boosting its annual capacity by 80 percent to 360,000 units.
Investment in the new plant, located in Guangzhou, totaled 4.26 billion yuan (US$625 million). The new plant will initially produce Toyota Highlander, with the first model rolled off the assembly line yesterday.
