The period dramedy, which opened Thursday and stars Jiang, Chow Yun-Fat, Ge You and Carina Lau, took in about 60 million yuan on Saturday alone, overtaking "Avatar," which took in 57 million yuan, for earnings in a single day. The producer, Ma Ke, said a Hollywood studio has purchased the rights to remake "Bullets" for a "huge sum" and specified Jiang Wen to be the director.
