Thirty-two people were killed and two others injured yesterday when a cargo plane, carrying Turkish workers, crashed while it was trying to land at Baghdad's Alasad Airport, Turkey's state-run TRT reported.
The Anatolia news agency revealed that the plane, belonging to a Moldovan company, had flown from Adana Province in southern Turkey to Iraq.
Two crisis desks were now in operation at the Adana Governor's Office and Adana Airport, according to Anatolia.
Adana Governor Cahit Kirac announced the crisis desks would tail the latest developments as they happened, and would stay in regular contact with Prime Ministry Crisis Desk and the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad.
Earlier, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that 30 people were killed and two injured in the plane crash.
